restorative justice as an embodied skill - how somatics supports healthy relationships and decreases polarization

about this gathering

the goal of this workshop is to provide practitioners of restorative justice with relationship-based somatic practices that they can use to support themselves in their work with victims and offenders. the exercises focus on taking responsibility, consent, and mutual connection, as well as how to maintain balance in conflict and use conflict as a creative rather than a destructive force. the workshop is part of the 2026 restorative justice month and the official Ministry of Justice and Digital Affairs’ program “Us and them.”

facilitator

the workshop will be led by Joelle Marcelle Antson, who served as the restorative justice project manager at the Ministry of Justice and Digital Affairs from 2023 to 2025. She is a restorative justice trainer, somatic coach, and bodywork practitioner. since Joelle views restorative justice not only as a mindset but also as a skill we can learn to embody, she integrates the principles of restorative justice with somatic exercises.
